The story is set in a world where when people die they are turned into automatons that pro-longs their life; but corporations used their lack of human rights to create slave labour. The protagonist is a young woman flung into the role of trying to help these people as her family has done for many years, and finds herself tied up with criminals and puts those she loves at risk.
